Homeaway has an online payment system. Has anyone used this with their arrival card and does it qualify as a travel expense?

Both times I've booked through HomeAway, it routed through PayPal so it didn't count as travel.

I recently reserved a room at a resort in Tulum Mexico and paid via PayPal the Italian company that runs it , and it showed up as travel on my Barclay Arrival Card. Perhaps PayPal can code the type of merchant, which is no guarantee that they will in your case.

That is good to know. Although I believe Homeaway started using their own payment system so I don't think it route through paypal. Unless it is some sort of partnership. I guess I will find out.

Is there any more confirmation on this? Does Homeaway's payment system count as travel for redeeming miles?
