Apple Pay has been gradually working forward with the various retailers that they use and now they are breaking into the airline industry. Starting next week, travelers will be able to use Apple Pay aboard JetBlue as Apple’s first airline partner for Apple Pay. It will be used to pay for things like onboard snacks and better seats (making it even easier to pay for things in the air). It will roll out first on the JFK to San Francisco/Los Angeles routes with other routes coming onboard in March and fleet-wide rollout by June. It is nice to see Apply Pay increasing into this space (especially since I have an iPhone 6 Plus!). I hope other airlines follow along at some point (and pretty sure they will). Guys, no more reaching behind you to pull out the wallet after you area already seated. Just pause your Angry Birds long enough to pay for your snack/better seat and you are set!
