At the end of the day, he still uses his iPhone as his primary phone so unfortunately he's not a full convert which is what this reader was hoping to read.

“The people I recommend the iPhone 4S for are the ones who are already in the Mac world, because it’s so compatible, and people who are just scared of computers altogether and don’t want to use them. The iPhone is the least frightening thing. For that kind of person who is scared of complexity, well, here’s a phone that is simple to use and does what you need it to do,” he said.

I hear comments like this often, and I'll probably be replacing one of the old phones I carry to a Android handset. I just need to get off the fence and figure out how not to get hosed by moving away from my legacy contract, since Sprint will not put iPhone and Android handsets on what I have.

It's important to understand that Wozniak is more of a free thinker and tinkerer. If you want to mess directly with your phone hardware Andriod is a good option - although lots of people jail break iOS to do the same, but is not the same as open system.

Proper marketing and proper product image is the key to success for a company, however not necessary good for a consumer.
