This may sound kind of silly, as well as coming from an ignorant American, but why on earth would they expect anyone to speak French in ATLANTA?????
Unfortunately AC is saddled with archaic requirements to be and provide bilingual services ... this couple is simply taking advantage of this ... I hope they get middle seats in future
That was my suspicion as well, but I didn't want to come right out and say it, as I don't follow the English/French language debate in Canada all that closely.
So if I fly Air Canada, I can insist on being spoken to in French? And demand compensation if the agent/FA doesn't speak French?
Anyone know how to say "I'd like a 7-Up with no ice, please"?
"J'aimerais cinq cent mille dollars s'il vous plaît."
Ah oui? Merci beaucoup.
They sought $500K, were awarded $12K but now will only get $3K. Chances are the only ones making anything are the lawyers.
