The Denver Post is reporting that Air New Zealand (ANZ) is looking to add service at previously-unserved North American destinations, including IAH and DEN. While ANZ isn't slated to receive its first 787 until 2014, CEO Rob Fyfe told Aviation Week that it is adding North American services before then, using its existing 777 fleet.

Akl-den sounds like a pretty thin route. Wow.

Kiwis like the outdoors...so do Coloradans. Perhaps that synergy helps yields.

Sounds like they are trying to capitalize on the traffic to/from/through UA hubs, as ANZ is the only carrier with non-stops from the USA to NZ.
