Anyone receive a box of Chocolate from SPG? They Fedex it to my home address.

    Recently, $0. but been a member for about 25 years. This is before they change the name to SPG.
    The packaging is so beautiful, I don't want to open it.

    I remember reading once, maybe on TOBB , that someone who had stayed at all of the SPG brands in the calendar year received a box of chocolates that looked pretty much like your photo...

    I received a box of chocolates 2 years ago. Not last year. Now I'm actually interested to check my deliveries when I get home tonight!!

    Don't get me wrong, I love surprise and delight. I just wish I understood what the pattern was.

    Gary, how much paid business did you have with SPG this year in terms of nights? Mostly high or low spend?

    Got home, no chocolates for me. So goose eggs two years in a row. ~ 60 nights each year. Not cheapies, but i'm sure not sure high rev either.

    Hyatt's attempt at surprise and delight pretty much cost them my loyalty. I don't particularly care about box of chocolates, but the 50k UA miles handed to some people were actually (and obviously) quite desirable. Same with CC/US Bank earlier this year. Delight some, annoy some...

    The promo* is a bit less generous this year (9-11k points instead of chocolates and three free nights. But on the bright side, it's confirmable in advance rather than surprise delight.)

    * - targeted, although seems relatively widely available (see dashboard)

    To further complicate the analysis.

    Received my box today. Been a member for 10-15 years I think. Total paid stays <4 in total. Last paid stay was 4 years ago. Although I do book award stays at least once a year, and have both Personal and Business cards. And I always fill out post stay surveys. But have no idea why I got the chocolates.

    Might be that I have booked a stay in January?

    Got a free night at BUF this gave a good trip report,

    I will not cry, and they do treat us well., no chocolates...parlor rooms are better.,

    hmmm.....been a member since 2002. LT Plat, 50-75 nts a year for the past few years, have a stay booked in Jan - No chocolates, nada, nyet
