I saw in another post a reference to the fact that there are many bloggers who participate on MilePoint. Couldn't find anything in the forums on who you are or what your blogs are about?

Would love to find out who you are. Do you blog about travel?

There are indeed lots of bloggers who visit this site. Many of us blog about how to earn miles and points and travel on miles and points, but there are others that have some different travel related topics on their sites as well. Some blog about airline industry news, some on hotel programs, and many others. My site is about collecting miles and points, but with a more family oriented twist to it than some of the others.

Anyway, like I said there are many of us that pop in and out of here when we get the chance!

There really are quite a few of us here, as there are many announcements made on here. On upgrd.com we have a wide variety of topics, quite similar to boarding area.

I will definitely check out your blog. Love to travel and have 3 kids. For us, the best program is Alaska. With their credit card program and the companion fare, our family of 5 is usually able to go to Hawaii annually at very minimal cost.

LOVE HAWAII .... And traveling at minimum cost is the only way to do it! Lots of bloggers on here for sure. Mine is about collecting miles and points either free or by shopping.

I gave up on my written blog a while back but still (somewhat regularly) maintain a photoblog (first link in my signature)

Love your profile pic. I just finished a photobook from a trip to Hawaii last spring. Your pic reminds me of it.

My strategy: put everything on credit card. It's a double edged sword ;-)

We'll need another thread entitled, "Is anyone not a blogger on MP?"

I have to admit, though, it's kinda fun.

The main difference is there are 3 tiers. Those on their own site, those on a blog network, and those who just use the standard blog sites.

Hmm, and I'm not sophisticated enough to know which I am. I just type and words appear. It's like magic. I totally think this whole interweb thingie is going to catch on.

Yes, I think it will. And those magical phones! You know, the ones that you don't have to keep connected to the wall? I hope those take off too!

Hey Ranman- I started a blog around two months ago. I post trip reports with photos and also touch on some of the travel deals.
Check it out & let me know what you think!

Hi guys, I'm loving this forum and all the travel blogs. I'm still building mine but soon will be live. A few days ago a friend recommended to me this blogging competition, I got very excited and this is what is driving me to get mine working again. I thought you guys would also find that interesting. Btw, the prize is £100 worth of Amazon vouchers. Check it out: http://www.londonpass.com/competition.php

Anyone using affiliate marketing on their blogs to make some scratch for hosting and such? I am (sparingly) using Infolinks, Commission Junction for GrouponGetaways, and FlexOffers for mileage credit card offers. Seems like a lot of different companies, but this way I feel like I can keep it really targeted to good travel and mile deals.

If you are new to affiliate marketing and have questions, feel free to shoot me a message. If you're interested in signing up I'd really appreciate it if you used these links, as they are my referral links. ;)

My site is very much Priceline and Hotwire centric, so I use Commission Junction (Priceline) and Linkshare (Hotwire). Surprisingly, Google Adsense (non-PPC) is a very good way to make some scratch ;-) plus the rotating banners are cool.

LOL- I'd like to know how one decides which tier is the best! I am thinking being on a site like Boarding Area probably is...

Which tier one belongs on does not necessarily reflect on the usefulness of the content. A good blogger will become known wherever they are. I think the difference is that in theory those on the networked sites have at least been vetted for competence on their chosen area of content. However, there can be quite interesting things on Blogspot, or on someone's own personal website.
