Newly minted SE and want to see if it was worth the saddle sores...
Congratulations on making SE southender - another YWGer on MP - nice to see...
I have heard nothing but expect that we will see things starting to come out within a couple of weeks.
As always people wonder about the changes and many will start beatching about it automatically being devalued for 2012 ... personally I prefer to wait and see

Well it is getting closer ... I received an email from AC this morning saying things are getting closer I think Elites also received the email ... so it may be getting to that time where we hash out the good and bad eek of any changes ...
They are going to increase miles needed for SE next year to 20K more then you earned this year.
OK I have to admit guinessxyz ... that made me smile early morning
Works for me. I'm at 60,000.
As long as I can buy the saddle sore salve for 10% off in Duty Free... credit cards only.
You didn't have to take it personally YULtide.

No details on the number of eCredits, but we do get personalized luggage tags again.
100K or 20K more than last year - whichever is greater!
It would be nice if they bumped the number of eUpgrade credits up a bit, by 10-20, to avoid the backlash they had last year, but I'm not holding my breath.
AC has announced the 2012 program.
TOBB has fallen from grace as program announced on Aeroplan website.
Here are the details for anyone who has not yet been over to FT:
Inklings have been answered; looks like a yawn with the shoe to drop at the end of Dec when the 2013 Qualifying changes roll out...
any 'inklings' what 2013 will hold?
One change I noted is that as an SE I cannot choose eUpgrades, 100% bonus miles, and 3000 Status miles - for this year I was able to get all 3.
"Our 2013 program
By the end of December 2011, we’ll be announcing details about the 2013 Air Canada Top Tier Program, including:
Some key program changes
Qualification criteria for each tier level
Overview of the benefits

It seems they've dropped early status recognition for Prestige members. But this is given to SEs.
Question: what's the point of this for SEs?
It is refreshing to look at the benefits and have a dispassionate attitude.......as I have given the chase up for AC status.
We will wave as you disappear to the cargo section.
I always was Elite cargo......and that for 16 years.
There has never been early status recognition for achieving Prestige mid-year, just Elite and SE. This does not mean requalifying the same status as you hold that status, it means moving up to the next tier during the year.
I think the early qualification benefit is finally making sense to me. It's just that my mind works from a different perspective, so I was reading it as a benefit to existing E and SE members who would get early recognition of the new, superior status, should they achieve it. Which obviously make no sense for SEs, and the Ps who could use the benefit of moving up to E would miss out. So I was reading it wrong. Scratch my questions.
I'm not chasing it, either -- but it appears to chase me quite enough, thank you!
So as SE we can choose 65 eUpgrade credits -- last time around I got 60. I know I maxed out on them but can't remember the selection process. Still, it does appear as a slight improvement.
I think I do lose out on the 3K status miles, though, as you say. Hopefully that won't come back to haunt me at the end of the year.
I guess that's why God gave us Mileage Runs.
