Stayed at Hilton at South Wharf and it is a darn nice hotel, but as usual with this poster, the question is so broad that it's usually hard to know where to begin answering. "Any good hotels in Australia?" Well, yeah, I am sure that there are thousands of them, but Australia is not one big city; it is one big country so specifying at the very least a city in Australia might narrow things down sufficiently to facilitate a meaningful response.
If in Sydney, I would agree the Park Hyatt would be a great one because you wake up every morning to the view of the famous Opera House.

Left: Park Hyatt Sydney. Right: Sydney Opera House as seen from the PH.

If in Sydney and you'd rather wake up to the sights and sounds of Darling Harbour, there is a Novotel that towers over the whole area...

I just think 1000 dollars is way too much for a hotel in Sydney !

Avoid the Sheraton on the Park if you want consistent service! I'm SPG loyal and am kicking myself for not going to the Westin.

I am returning to Hilton Melbourne South Wharf for a 6-night stay next week and looking forward to it!
