We are not going to be involved in a “fare war” is the cartel’s brazen new signaling language to each cartelline and Wall Street that pesky competition of any sort is in its final throes. Things that used to be done in clandestine conversations in sketchy places are now proclaimed on conference calls. Also, are taxpayers still funding even a whimsical DOJ Antitrust Division? Owning the US government completely has been so profitable for private equity they must wish there was a second government they could start buying off now that the first one founded ca 1776 is all theirs.
