There are four Silvers asking this question, including me. The bots by definition get credit for content because the founders chose the bots. They also have lots of posts. Nileguide should by defintion be a Guide:confused: although Nileguide gets very little correct, at least in the palces i see it posting. IMHO, very H, I suspect they should be up for Platinum rather than just Gold.

The newsfeed users gain status/posts only because we currently don't have a good way of restricting them doing so at this time. If there is a way to do this that we like in the future we will likely restrict their ability to gain status.

Be careful about instituting discrimination against bots- they could rise up against us. The threat has been documented by such noted historians as Mary Shelley, Isaac Asimov, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Nileguide doesn't seem to get very many likes, but I notice that it is Silver and therefore has access to TPF (The Private Forum).
