The one month anniversary status achievement seems to be a few days delayed - it seems to have counted 30 days as opposed to a calendar month. Can the name (30 day vs one month) or the timing can be changed so that it all coincides?

This is the expected behavior, the one month status achievement is an estimated/averaged month length.

right, but as Tinkerer points out, but titling it "One Month Anniversary" implies that if you joined on Feb. 4 you'd get the award on Mar. 4.

If you titled it "30 Day Anniversary" the action would jibe with the expectation. The shorter title will also save six bytes, which, multiplied by hundreds of thousands of expected members, will greatly help reduce server loads. :D

For the record, I just noticed a profile of someone who joined and then didn't post anything. The 5 points for the thirty day anniversary arrived on the same sweep as the points for the first post, several weeks after the first month anniversary.

If a user hasn't had activity (logging into the site counts as activity) they are not able to gain any status promotions so users that go inactive for a starting some time before their first month and then return a week after their 1 month anniversary will not earn their achievement until after they return.

Is there a dislike function? I suspect Tim & team have way bigger fish to fry.

All you can do is first like and then unlike. :)
There is a rather good ignore function promised for future release, and that could serve as the ultimate "dislike" button.

perfect example of why there isnt.

not speaking for OP, but inconsistencies with time based events could be a symptom of another (larger) problem.
