Sunday and decided to let all of his almost 1.3 million Twitter followers share in his disappointment at the “inexcusable” delays. The former San Francisco mayor tweeted Sunday that he sat on the tarmac for more than 5 hours while his flight to San Francisco went through various delays. http://twitter.com/#!/GavinNewsom/status/204317666532528128 http://twitter.com/#!/GavinNewsom/status/204330915323850754 Newsom was returning from Washington where he’d taped a segment of This Week with George Stephanopolous, said his spokeswoman Deirdre Hussey. United hasn’t responded to Newsom’s complaints yet, but it can’t be because this is a new situation to them. Houston Mayor Annise Parker tweeted her frustrations at the airline in March after being delayed while flying with her two daughters on a flight to Houston from San Francisco.
