Now to see if AA retaliates with fare matching and double bonus miles on that route. :)

They will probably retaliate by reducing service and aircraft size.

I would love to see Virgin get to a point where they can offer a bunch of frequencies per day to ORD, DFW, and really put some competative pressure on the carriers at these fortress hubs.

Can anyone experienced with VX comment on what the pricing or availability of the exit row seats would potentially look like at check-in? I'm looking at the "Instant Upgrade Main Cabin Select" fares ORD-SFO/LAX and they're really quite expensive.

I'd love to shift some of my UA trips but there's no way I'm going to pay 1.5 - 2 times the average UA fare for an exit row seat that I'd otherwise get on UA.

The pricing and seating is on a strict tiered system. While the prices may fluctuate from time to time, you'll see that all three seat classes typically move together. So you will always have a relative cost issue where Cabin Select will cost x times more than a standard seat. Versus other carriers, the ability to find cheaper rates varies by route.

Great - my work trip to the LA area is the week before. I guess I'll fly B6 or WN. But B6 is not optimal given one poorly timed flight per day.

For those of you who have flown WN, what is the legroom like on VX in coach? Also, does the aisle armrest go up like it does on most of the WN fleet?

I wonder if the pricing is good both ways, for flights starting at ORD? I've been wanting to go to SFO.
