Suite for the price of base room. I've found this rate (AAA $202.5+) available throughout the summer and the error is available untill EOS.

nice! seems only to be on the weekends though. Also can't sign in right now: "The Hyatt Gold Passport system is undergoing maintenance at this time."

    Indulge a relative newbie. . .

Are people planning trips just to take advantage of this rate? Is there any benefit to be gained by essentially mattress-running this offer, even if one lives in NYC? (I know it's no longer available, just trying to learn how to play the game).

It's not really worth a mattress run per se, there are cheaper stays if you're trying to requalify for status and it's not worth the points IMHO. But yes I've planned a couple of incremental trips. Though I'd probably get a room at least as good as a diamond on the weekend here anyway, it really just prompted me to say "hey, if i don't mind being in the financial district on the weekend there are some good rates on a guaranteed good room" and I make it to New York every month at least anyway...

This is disturbing: Apparently the hotel changed my reservations to one king bed room instead of the suite. Not even and email notification. I'm annoyed by the way they deal with the situation!

I'm here now. My reservation online shows now just for a King, but I checked in and they knew I was booked for an Andaz Suite, which is what I was assigned to. No muss, no fuss. I had hopes for an Andaz Large Suite ;) but was told those were fully booked, there didn't appear to be any for sale online, and I wasn't entitled to it anyway, so all good. :)

For what it's worth, it's really more of a junior suite, the same room I had on a regular booking last year without using a confirmed suite upgrade.
