Okay, so if I am reading this right, I can fly to Seoul, then buy a Seoul-Haneda return ticket, then fly Haneda-Okinawa-Haneda-Okinawa-Osaka-Haneda for just 55,000 yen, then go home via Seoul?

Anyone care to work out how many PPs this is worth? [IMG]

If you are MR'ing NEVER fly like this.....

    OKA-ITM gets 739 base
    ITM-HND gets 280 base
    OKA-HND gets 984 base...

Okay, so the website says they require proof of residence... is that strictly enforced?

I am a PR in Japan, and that is in my passport...

As I said before....If you hold a passport other than a Japanese one. You automatically qualify. (reason being you are automatically a resident of your home country.

I am a PR in Japan also, but I have used both Star Japan and Yokoso (JAL) and it works fine!

    JAL just this week also!

That depends on NH. You can't just assume JAL let you do it so NH will. Better be safe than sorry, I suggest you confirm that with the NH office you plan to ticket with

Yes, it is about the only thing that works in the favor of foreigner=non-resident ! Just don't expect it to happen with JR[IMG] ....

  11. I'm pretty sure I had to fax something to NH London office (through where I booked my ANA Star Alliance Pass) to prove/say that I was not a Japanese resident, but I just cannot remember what I had to fax.

I regretted using Star Alliance pass though because at the time I booked, there were premium class seats available but on the day the flights were completely full, so I was not able to upgrade them. I wished I booked Premium class outright instead of buying *A pass and hope to upgrade on the day.

    Good to know, thanks!

  13. I might book them again (since they are much quieter routes this time) and if I do, I'll let you know what documents they ask for.

When I booked my Star Pass...I physically went to the NH Shanghai office. They saw my passport and my itinerary online and booked it without questioning anything else.

What address were you using for your NH account? Mine has my Japanese address, and my ANA Gold card is also registered...

it just seems a bit unlikely that they are not going to notice that I live in Japan! [IMG]

My address is and has always been registered in Japan!

Don't worry so much. As long as you have a return ticket from xxx-Japan-xxx plus any foriegn passport (not Japanese only) you can buy the Star Pass.

FYI: I also paid with my JAL creditcard at the NH Shanghai office LOL!!! (I had no NH creditcard at the time) :p

From a efficiency standpoint, you should be doing 2 HND-OKA-HND flights and pay 7000 on departure day to sit up front.
    6K PP per RT.
