Does anyone know ANA's policy on a mixed class ticket? In particular, is the class determined by the longest / trans-pacific segment, or does a single segment in Business make the entire allowance Business? More specifically, I have a ticket from AKL->SFO->ORD->BOS. The first two segments are in economy (AirNZ and United), but the short ORD->BOS is in United First/Business class. AirNZ says we're due the ANA Economy allowance all the way through (1 bag of 50 pounds), but United says we're due the ANA Business class allowance all the way through (2 bags of 70 pounds each). AirNZ used the ATPCO calculator and emailed me screen shots to prove that they're right. It'll cost me $180 to make up the difference, so I'm hoping otherwise. They all agree that's it's an ANA allowance, but disagree on mixed class rules. I can't find the answer anywhere online. Thanks.
