I'm sure lots of AA employees would jump at the chance to work for Spirit at half their current salary, no seniority and no pension plan. But if layoffs occur, there's a pool of workers to be had...though many LCCs and new starts don't like hiring employees from the legacies because they feel these folks have bad attitudes and work habits...

Isn't "Bad Attitudes" the call sign for Spirit?

Be careful - Spirit charges BIG MONEY for baggage, and I assume AA folks have lots of baggage...

I suggest that you have read my comments without the irony and sarcasm I intended.

I don't think I wish Spirit on anyone...pax or employees...

I noticed some unusual requirements to be interviewed --- including bring a copy of your high school diploma or GED and the original of a social security card, a pass port and proof that you're allowed to work in the US.

What it doesn't say is what planes the pilots have to be qualified to fly.

Yeah, I noticed that. I guess I couldn't work for them. I have no idea where my high-school diploma is, and never got a GED :( I could show them both college diplomas, but based on their writeup, that wouldn't count!
