    As part of its plan to build more high speed rail, Amtrak today announced a proposal for a $7 billion expansion of DC's Union Station. I doubt this will ever be built as currently proposed, due to the cost, and current political and economic climate, but the renderings in the gallery included with the article below are quite impressive.
