At least US cards. Emails are being sent out right now.

Edit to add: Amex is offering statement credits, apparently in varying amounts, for incidental charges on AA/US between March 22, 2014 and December 31, 2014.

    My offer:
Special Offer: Up to $200 in Statement Credits

We recognize the inconvenience this may cause you as someone who travels frequently, so we have included you in a special offer. You will receive up to $200 in statement credits toward American Airlines and US Airways incidental fees charged to your Card from March 22, 2014 to December 31, 2014.1 You can use these credits toward:

    • Membership fees in the Admirals Club program and US Airways Club
    • One-day passes to Admirals Club lounges and US Airways Clubs
    • Other American Airlines and US Airways incidental fees like baggage fees or flight change fees

There's no enrollment required, and purchases made by both the Basic and Additional Card Members on the Card account are eligible for the promotion. These statement credits are in addition to the $200 Airline Fee Credit2 benefit already included in your Membership.*

*American Express relies on accurate airline transaction data to identify incidental fee purchases. If you do not see a credit for a qualifying incidental purchase on your enrolled Card after 4 weeks, simply call the number on the back of your Card. See terms & conditions for more details.

Do you read this as I get $200 plus my second card holder gets $200?

(I've uses the card to enter an AA lounge about five times this year and once for US, not a lot but it helps to justify the cost of the card. Prior to this I was thinking of keeping the card, with the $200 I probably will keep the card at least for next year. The sorry thing is at list price $200 is only four entries to the lounge.)

I don't know the answer to your question, but just wondering, what month do you pay your annual fee in?

Ditto question on when you pay your annual fee?

I got a $500 statement credit and my annual fee is due in January.

January, you visit the lounge more than me? (Also I'm a low spender, I hit the bonus spend and only put a few thousand more on the card.)

Feb for me. I visit AA lounges at least 30 times a year. Never US. Renewal in Feb.

I'm hoping this is an early April Fools joke...

My biz Plat email hasn't come through yet. Hoping it does not... But of course it will. Perhaps I'll get lucky and receive greater than the standard $200 offering.

Doubtful. Remember, the normal $200 incidental fee reimbursement is $200 total for the main account plus any additional cards. This is likely going to be implemented identically to that program.

Yikes. AC access for me and Mrs. was one of the main reasons to keep my Plat card. :(

So far it apparently only affects AmEx Plat and Centurion personal cards, not the business card versions.

Explains why I haven't gotten an email yet.

Does anyone think that they'll run separate lounge benefits into the future, though?

A bit of a downer unfortunately.

However at 450-200usual incidentals-200offer=50 it still largely makes sense for Alaska lounges and the select (SFO/DFW) centurion clubs. Can always re-evaluate in another year based on how many more Centurion lounges they open.

So if my renewal is June, I should be able to ... get $200 standard airline fees reimbursed, get $200 (or whatever my offer happens to be after March), and reimbursed on partial of my fee from last year? Seems too good to be true. $600 in airline reimbursements alone.

No email here. I have never used the card for AA/US club access... wonder if that makes me ineligible.

I was a frequent user of the card to get into US lounges. Did you guys get anything via secure online messaging? I haven't received an email on my corp card.

A sign to buy cheap us airways club membership get 5000 pqm and then buy exec plat status match via chairmans for $2999 since club purchase will put you over at least 1 pqm?

I expect reciprocal lounge access quite soon so it is a two for one.

I use my personal card all the time to access AA lounges (and I do spending on it too!) and I haven't gotten an email yet. :-(

Folks, as @MSPeconomist stated above, so far this loss is only affecting the Personal version of the Plat card, not the Business version.
