AmEx Blue Cash with Chip

    AmEx now offers its Blue Cash cards with the EMV Chip option. Because the card is made of clear plastic, you can see the internal packaging of the chip, including the tiny wires connecting it to the external contacts.

    It's unlikely that anyone besides myself would find such details interesting, but here's an enlarged picture (just in case). :D

    Someone can correct me on this, but what you are seeing there is not the silicon "chip" but the packaged solution which in itself gets packaged into the card.

    Correct, the circuit on silicon would be behind the smaller square in the center. Thanks for the clarification!
