Who does not like a good grilled cheese...
The Best Grilled Cheese in the USA
Didn't make the list but I've always enjoyed the daily special GC sandwich at Cowgirl Creamery in the SF Ferry Building
That one is yummy, as is the one at the Hog Island Oyster Co., also in the Ferry Building.
I gotta be honest, though; I love Kraft singles on sourdough, fried in lots of butter.
to me that is the unique aspect of grilled cheese sandwiches IMO, sometimes the über gourmet sandwich with artisan bread & aged cheese hits the spot, other times kraft singles will do very fine thank you !!
Grilled Cheese Sandwich....?
I thought this thread was about Provoletas....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Provoleta sounds delicious, the prep reminds me of saganaki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saganaki
I'm a big fan of Italian Grilled Cheese compared to a regular one..
What is an Italian Grilled Cheese?
A grilled cheese with mozzarella cheese with either white/wheat/multigrain/etc. bread OR garlic bread. Get some marinara sauce on the side to dip it in. mmmmmm
