American has my trip for less miles vs US Air. Will US Air honor American's flight with less miles?

I found a flight on American from DCA to St Martin for less miles than what US Airways is charging. Will US Airways let me book with the lower mileage that American is offering on their site and fly American?

I just tried to call US Airways and the lady very confused (though she was polite and trying to be helpful) and couldn't give a answer.

Awards booked using US airways miles are according to the US Airways award chart.

No, they will not. The two programs still have different rules and different award rates in some cases.

Nope they will not and to make matters worse if you have the Barclay card with the 5k discount you won't get that discount on AA operated flights usually.
