    Hi All,

It would be useful to get a list of American Express Lounges, which are not airline affiliated necessarily, but can be accessed by an AMEX Platinum/Centurion card. For example, in Canada there are Plaza Premium lounges which are accessed by American Express. This would be useful as a "stickied thread" I think in terms of lounge access for AMEX Platinum/Centurion. I'll try to keep the list up to date if I can!

    Canada:
    YYZ T1 Domestic
    YYZ T1 USA
    YYZ T1 International
    YYZ T3 Domestic
    YYZ T3 International
    YVR Dopmestic
    YVR International
    YYC Domestic
    YYC USA
    YUL
    YQB
    YWG

USA: (included as of Nov 2015)
    LAS
    DFW
    MIA
    LGA
    LAX
    SFO
    SEA

    South/Central America:
    GRU
    MEX
    EZE
    GIG
    GDL
    SSA
    REC
    SJO

    Europe:
    IST

    Asia:
    HKG (3)
    BOM
    DEL

Thanks for this! I'm flying out of YUL next week and had no idea about the Plaza Premium lounges.

I wasn't aware there were lounges in addition to the ones branded by Delta, US and AA. With my Amex Plat, are you saying those lounges are complimentary? or available to me for a fee?

Assuming 'not airline affiliated' includes 'not in an airport at all', I'd add the Eurostar lounges to the list, see: http://www.eurostar4agents.com/travel/station/business_premier_lounge.htm

There are two MEX lounges (I prefer the Centurion lounge that is in the dedicated International section and downstairs although the lounge in between Domestic and Int is much more spacious.

The GRU lounge is pre-secuirty and can get very crowded as it is tiny.

In GDL the Centurion lounge consistently has slightly better f&b then the airline lounges although I am not sure what has become of the Mexicana Lounge?

GIG and SSA have post security lounges and REC land side.

I have accessed the IST AMEX lounge as late as last year however others report having difficulty with US issued cards.

For US-issued Cardholders, is there anything special required (beyond showing our card and ID) for the named lounges? (Or are these benefits only for Plat/Cent cardholders who are outside of the US?)

In Hong Kong International Airport, The Arrivals Lounge which is beneath the Airport Express Platform, connecting Terminal 1 and 2) outside the sterile area, they have a small selection of foods, but a attendent will come by with a menu, and there's a selection of food that they will make for you.
If i remember correctly they had a Udon soup noodle selection, sashimi selection and one other that I can't recall.
The Travellers Lounge (East Hall) is in the secure area by Gate 1, and is the larger lounge. They had a plenty of seating area, and a number of computers which you can use.
The Travellers Lounge (West Hall) is located in the secure area after Gate 35. This is a smaller lounge, and can get quite crowded, food is similar to the ones served at the East Hall, but just more cramped.
I'd make a visit to both lounges =)

And you're sure these can be accessed with the US AMEX platinum card?

How would they know where it was issued just by looking at the card?

Outside of I do believe the issuing country currency is part of the account # code, the back of the card usually is a give away listing the contact service # to call.

Put me in the camp of denied entry with my US-issued AmEx. Not a huge deal as I had access to other lounges at the time, but the agent checked the issuing country on my card and denied me.

Like I said the last was I was in there was in Sept 10 and had gotten in without a problem three or four times before then. Will have to try again in May just to see if anything has changed. As has been noted, it not a great lounge about on par with BA Terraces at IST

Agreed but the Lounge dragon would have to be looking for that, maybe they are?

ya they look at the back of the card, and for Canadian issued ones, it says AMEX Bank of Canada, the lounge dragon at Hong Kong International airport, goes, this is a Canadian issued card and I nodded, they are definately checking there.
