I don't know if this has been posted already but I noticed last night that the "New" US Air shopping portal no longer offers Amazon as a merchant. It was a nice way to get some extra miles for all the $$ i give to Amazon. Now the only option is Hawaiian Airlines shopping portal for 1 mile/$. Not a real value there but better than nothing. Hawaiian miles can always be turned into Hilton points.

Hawaiian miles can always be used to fly to/from/within Hawaii too ;)

I'm personally saving mine for a HNL-PPT or PPT-HNL trip someday though

That's one I haven't thought about.....I've got 70k Hawaiian miles from their cc's and I was going to convert them to Hilton. Now I might just hold on to those to use as an alternative to getting to PPT via Air France.

usually not a cost effective transfer unless one needs to top off for an award. But the way Hilton seems to be going down the road of HHonors pesos, perhaps you'll need those extra HHonors points for your next Hilton award:)

Sad to lose Amazon as the shopping season is about to begin.

I guess it was too good to last. Oh well, I guess Amazon is off my list for the time being.

I'm in the Amen chorus on this one. First it was 1mp$, then .5mp$, then... I hope the HA deal lives a bit longer. It's better than nothing!

On an semi-related note, Ebay has never come back from their "temporary" hiatus from points/cashback sites. My guess is that they killed it, saw no material change in revenue, and let it stay dead.

Such a little change to the US mall has set off a chain of events for me:

-signed up for an Hawaiian account
-signed up for a Hawaiian VISA
-signed up for a Citi Hilton card b/c I might as well have enough for a week or 2 at an Asian Conrad property.

HA also has one of the eMarket Toolbars, same provider as the one US recently eliminated. Should note that the toolbars will override other mileage malls, though, so I have designated "search browsers" ;)

Off your list? Are you seriously going to stop shopping at Amazon, simply because you can't earn a handful of extra miles?

Now the best way to get cashback from Amazon is to become an affiliate and have someone order stuff through your affiliate link. A shady workaround but it IS another angle.

I've ordered a few books from B&N instead of Amazon for the shopping mall miles, but if you're buying a bunch of books, it's just not worth it since Amazon can be so much cheaper. I just spent $200 plus on Amazon on Monday, wish I would have done the HA mall. Oh well. I've heard that some people have had problems with it posting anyway (not that that's unusal with these malls).
