I will be flying into CDG from IAD on AirFrance (Delta code share) and will have an hour and 50 minute layover before I fly a Cityjet (Delta code share ) to DUB. I won't have to go through immigration but I believe I will have to go through security. Am I totally screwed before I even leave. There is at least one more flight to DUB that afternoon.

If your inbound arrives on time you'll have an easy connection. I've routinely done one hour connections there.
If you have status with skyteam you get to use the orange access lines through immigration and security, those will save you 10 or 15 minutes.

Things have reportedly improved dramatically at CDG in recent years with fewer buses and more connections in the terminal. That should help. I'm betting you'll be fine assuming the flights are on time.

Plus my connection in 3 weeks is 15 minutes shorter.

Once 2E finally got up and running things started improving; before that anything under 1:45 ran a high possibility of misconnects. Over the past two years they've fine tuned it, as the Wanderer said.
Mine in 3 weeks is 20 minutes shorter. But OP is non-schengen to non-schengen, mine will be schengen to non-schengen.
    :p

The elite and premium cabin lines are called Acces No. 1. They also have big SkyPriority signs.

You'll still be fine as long as your inbound is on time (or even 10 minutes late).
