I got in on the Icelandair/Alaska Airlines deal, as I'm sure many people on here did too. I wrote up a trip report of my flights and stay in Honolulu. As always, let me know what you think and feel free to ask me any questions.

    Thanks for sharing.

Alaska runs some nice lounges. Never been pleased with their f product though.

Hey, great job! I'm booked on this for next summer - will be interesting to see what changes between now and then!

Nice trip report. Did you spend the entire 10 hour layover on the way back in the lounge?

For 350 round-trip to Hawaii it's probably acceptable. With that said, I booked for my parents but not for myself partly out of a lack of time but partly on the lack of a true premium product.

I think for $350 in F it's actually quite acceptable, considering that a fare war will get you $400+ riding in the back of the bus, and generally you're looking at $600+

Like I said in the other thread, the problem is that the audience here is jaded, and when you look at their F product to Hawaii you think "meh" -- same goes for US, AA and UA for that matter. But considering what ordinary folk usually get for almost twice the price, it's a bargain any way you look at it.

Now if some crazy opportunity showed up where you could spend the same amount and redeem for an award seat on a 787 for the same distance, you know that it would be considered the deal of the century. :)

I agree that we're all jaded and it is an excellent value.

Yes, we did. We planned on going out into the city, but we were really tired, it was raining, and we'd been to Seattle many times. It's a nice lounge, but as you might have assumed, we were quite sick of it by the end of the long layover.

I split my time between Denver and Washington DC.

I think AS F to Hawaii is a good value for $350. The food is quite good, you get free IFE, good service, and plenty of legroom. Sure, there are better F products to Hawaii out there, but none that you could get for $350.
