Alaska Airlines Ending Bank of America Debit Card Program

    Thought I'd give you guys the heads up on this. I just got the card from BoA (to fund my Bluebird) and called Alaska to verify that BoA had setup an account for me to accumulate miles, which they were supposed to do. The woman on the phone informed me that November 10th is the cutoff date for any new BoA Alaska debit cards and they will be ending the program after that. No word on whether or not the credit cards will be affected.

    I wouldn't expect credit cards to be affected, as the Durbin amendment only affects debit cards. It appears that SunTrust/DL will now be the only miles earning debit card out there, if this is true.
