I was there today and there was a sign that they were no longer serving alcohol. I asked why and the attendant said the lounge was closing at the end of the month and another one will take its place. He did not know anymore details. Got my fingers crossed that it is part of Priority Pass.

It didn't seem to have much in the way of clientele at
the best of times, plus it's in a part of the airport that
has an abandoned feel about it (the whole airport
except the A and B piers, where WN resides, seems
underutilized), plus the Greene Turtle just a couple
hundred feet down the way serves decent drinks
(but one of the worst hamburgers I've ever eaten).
And there's public wifi in the airport.

I'm surprised that the space has another tenant
    lined up.

It use to be a United club many years ago. A Delta club perhaps. but that really seems unlikely. They had a US air club where the majority of the Delta flights are departing now. They also left several years ago. Well I do have to say that they served the worst old fashioned that I have ever tasted. Don Draper would not be pleased with that drink.

Shoot I hope this doesn't affect JFK by September. Have a LAN flight and plan on arriving very early...
