I was reading through the STL Lambert Field blog recently (yes I'm surprised they have such a blog) http://flystl.com/Newsroom/Blog.aspx
and stumbled across airport trading cards. These are fairly new I guess. You can find them at http://www.airporttradingcards.com/ but it seems you have to get them at the various airports. I've never seen these anywhere but it would be neat to get a set.

Oh great! A new thing to jump into. I'll need to look for them, next year - not starting anything new this year.

It's like a badge of honor...
Too bad it's not every airport in the world.

....you have the playing cards from all the airlines you've flown in past years where they handed out the cards just for asking, including the ones like EA, PA, NA, NE, TW and others who are no longer around. Airport ones may be okay, but they're on the ground, not from 41,000 feet.

No, I don't have cards from all the airlines I mentioned above, just a couple, but it would have been nice if we had more. Much more geekier or nerdier, IMO. ;)

Cos then it will be tough to get a complete set? :)
For me, it will be a way to keep score of which airports I have been to... not that they are a lot.
I am assuming that I will be able to buy specific cards at the respective airports and not in wrapped packages whereby you do not know what you will get.
If it is the latter... I can see that it will be very expensive and I will not be interested... :(

I have Delta playing cards from this year (October I think)
Flight to SIN was delayed very long at Narita and they pushed out two carts with snacks, drinks, kids stuff and playing cards :)

Some airlines still have playing cards if you ask for them, as you indicated with DL, just ask if they're available to help pass the time, especially on longer flights when your batteries run dry.

    I didn't think about "sets"!
I didn't have a lot of luck with baseball card packs.
I was planning on extending out of my comfort zone to hit a few of them.

I am a bit (ha,ha) driven. I would attempt more obscure routings just to get new cards.
I did this in the 80's and 90's with HRC's and polo shirts. Imagine sitting in a purveyor of adult beverages, wearing one of their signature shirts and having one of the servers ask where did you get that!
