AJC: Airport security bins to carry ads
One way to earn $$...
If I was running a business, I don't think I'd want its name or image associated with TSA checkpoints.
Zappos and TSA -- that's like matter and anti-matter. Bizarre.
No mention of what the airport plans to do with the extra revenue.
A couple of buckets of sand for the 6th runway?
It seems I remember reading yrs ago that an airline(s) were considering selling ad space on tray tables and/or overhead bin doors. I've never had the pleasure of seeing that ugliness. Maybe Ryan Air or the like ended up doing that.
Tray table ads? A reality on US.
AmericaWest did it, and brought it to USAirways. AirTran does it. United has done it, too. Spirit took it another step to put ads on overhead bins.
Wow! That shows how effective they are. Flown 'em all (except Spirit) and didn't notice, or at least don't remember.
