USAToday: Airport dog finds illegal food stowed in luggage

I have no objection to CBP using beagles to sniff for illegal food. I was surprised they find up to 28 lbs of food per day!

That is really cool. My daschund would be good at this job. He's always Sniffing out the food around the house or when we take him to the park.

Sounds like a small number to me. I am yet to come back on a flight from Frankfort or Russia where someone doesn't have some food. Heck, a bunch of Russians don't even consider apples as fruit for travel purposes. And I know people that brought entire tomato plants. And bacteria cultures for making yogurt.
