Airplanes could cause increased snow/rain near airports

    These people are clever, but they also forget about the high pressure areas created by intense jet traffic. That has been a common phenomenon at ORD and can be seen every time Farnbourough and Le Bouget host an airshow. Even when the weather is low the intense activity causes a local high so the clouds lift to some extent. The supercooled passage causing precipitation is well known, but with intense activity the high pressure area tends to minimize that effect.

    I smell more studies!:D
