    By the end of the year, an airline trade group would like travelers to be able to compare ticket prices on websites with as much information as they find at specific airline sites.

    The International Air Transport Association, IATA, a group of 240 airlines, created a Web video and described for reporters Tuesday how the new comparison system would work.

    Their goal is to be able to compare the costs of extra services — such as meals and seat-back entertainment, costs that are often not available on comparison sites such as Travelocity and Orbitz — at the same time as they are checking ticket prices
