Ust booked a connecting flight with AF and to my amazement, one segment, CDG-BRU, is on a train.

Has onyone ever taken this "flight"?

Curious if I took this on the return, were would one check in, at the train station for the flight from Paris, or would you check in once you arrive back in CDG for the international flight on AF?

Hopefully since it is an AF code share "flight" the miles will be credited to DL.

It was a few years ago, but I got DL points for my AF train trip. It was CDG-BRU. It was a pleasant enough train ride. I think it was operated by Thalys, using their own equipment. ;)

I was with a colleague. We had to do some formalities with the train ticket office at CDG, which he tended to. I think we gave them our PNR code, and they gave us some tickets.

Wonder how many MQM's you will get for this? Do they offer Business Class onboard?

    Here's what I've heard from some co-workers

    - AF tickets can be picked up at ZYR train station
    - AF has a lounge at ZYR and a designated car within the train
    - Check in times at Paris are 1 hour before flights rather than the 2 hours in the US

I'll detail everything I find in a full trip report.

Here is the trip report of the TGV train ride to Paris.

    Couple of interesting points.
    - Ticket was "coach" on train leg, but booked into business once checked-in
    - No wifi on board the flight
    - Lounge is closed on weekends

Still waiting to see if miles post. I'll be sure and update once they do.
