I don't work for Boeing but I do live in the town of one of it's biggest assembly plants (well, the world's largest building) and it seems that Boeing is doing what it can to get out of the Northwest and the US. Washington state has lost a lot of it's Boeing identity over the last decade(s), including the corporate headquarters. The 787 has been heavily outsourced, which the union says contributes to the problems. As a Northwesterner who flies mostly AS, I have only flown 4 segments on an airbus in my last 100 ;-)
