Airbus keeps tight rein on cabin design as A350 launch nears

    The last picture of the nine in the above link shows the three across coach seats. Slimline and tight, with no indication of what the pitch may be, of course varying by the aircraft's buyer. I wouldn't expect too much improvement at the back of the plane, with the crammed in choices of the domestic carriers if they buy this aircraft.

    I was on board on Monday: http://blog.wandr.me/2014/04/photos-from-inside-the-a350-xwb-and-a-small-giveaway/.

    It is a 2-cabin layout and economy pitch was generous. Seats were OK but not spectacular. Business was fine, too. It is 3-3-3 in a fuselage 10 inches narrower than the 777 and there is talk of 3-4-3 as well.

    And they have been very clear: There are only 4 options for economy seats. No exceptions. They expect that to prevent delays on deliveries.

    So were they (econ) Recaro slim line? I bet AF will be the first to use 3-4-3!! If not spectacular, how do you think someone would do on a long haul?
