    Air Wisconsin has announced plans to open an aircraft maintenance facility at CAE!

    Air Wisconsin Airlines Corporation has announced plans to begin an aircraft maintenance facility at Columbia Metropolitan Airport beginning August 4, 2011 to service their 50-passenger Canadair Regional Jets (CRJ). This will be a scheduled/overnight maintenance operation which will result in new jobs and additional growth for the company. Plans are to have 18 fulltime employees to include 2 Supervisors, 13 Mechanics, and 3 Parts Clerks.​

    As the largest independently held regional airline in the United States, Air Wisconsin performs flying services for US Airways and ground handling services for United Airlines. The company operates 70 CRJ-200 regional jets and serves approximately 70 cities throughout North America carrying an estimated 60 million passengers per year.​
