I'm flying to PVG in Business Premier on the 8th of April and I see that they're dropping the PEK flight... Drats as I was hoping to get the coveted AKL-PEK line for Flug Memoriam. Maybe I'll try to squeeze the PEK-AKL line in on another award trip to New Zee before June.

Air NZ said people wishing to travel to/from PEK have the option of connecting flights with Air China. There are very few such flights PVG-PEK vv and transit to SHA is a pain. (For that matter transit at PVG if not NZ<>LH/LX/VS is also slightly annoying.)

Yield is terrible. Business cabin not very full and mostly upgrades. Economy fuller but fares ex-China are low.

I just flew AKL-PVG Sunday, the flight was pretty full in Business and Economy.
