Air France KLM introduces paid lounge access in Bangkok

This could herald a new trend towards economy passengers paid access to the business lounges around the world. We will see how it goes in BKK, overall, interesting concept.

Why not? As long as they don't end up like pitiful US carrier lounges (or the AF/KL lounge in LAX for that matter), then why not?

Interesting, but is not the only offer of this type. For example see Delta (also skyteam) one day pass "for $50 when you fly any airline"

I wonder if it indicates alignment/conspiracy with the new DL lounge pricing and the new DL policy eliminating access for coach elite plus pax to third party international lounges.

yes access to skyteam int'l lounges. no access after May 31 for E+ on coach tix to third party operated lounges (like the one I use all the time at Pisa). Wandering Aramenian has a thread on it, I'll look for the link later.

Here's the tread on DL dropping third party lounge access for E+ on economy tickets:

And here's the blog post with a list of the 40 lounges:

OK, it s**ks big time. I have four airports that affect me :( Which means, I will have to finagle another way ;)

There are four that I've used, but one, Pisa, that I use a half dozen times a year. It definitely s**ks.
