I'm flying Air China in March to Beijing & Shanghai. They use the Phoenix Air Miles points system. I don't plan on flying Air China often at all in my lifetime. What else can I do with these miles? Transfer them? Sell them? Trade them?

Air China is part of Star Alliance, so you should be able to credit the flight miles to another airline in the Star Alliance. However, depending on the booking class of the ticket, you may not get 100% of the mileage.

We fly Air China on most flights within China but we collect 50% miles with Air Canada. We thought of joining Air China's Phoenix Club but it wasn't worth the effort.
