    I have an Aeroplan award booked for 2 J & 1 Y ticket(s) EWR-BOM-DEL on Air India...
I'm hoping to switch over to the non-stop JFK-DEL, and the ANA tool shows that there's confirmed Y space, but J is "on request" (RQ) - while Aeroplan's site shows only 1 J ticket available (when I need 2!)

Aeroplan agents don't know what "on request" is. Does it even apply with Aeroplan? If not, any suggestions for snagging that second J seat?

    Many thanks in advance!

Aeroplan will often trade seats with AC for certain flights. If yours opens up a little more they may give AC back seats on a flight that is selling well in J. So, your best bet is to check closer in and continuously watch the loads of your flight because they do change sometimes radically.
