From their Web site, Aegean states you earn Blue status:

"Once you have collected 4,000 miles within a period of twelve (12) months counting from the former, valid, registered miles."

Does this mean we have 12 months from when we first start the program? Or does it reset to zero on January 1?

    Thanks in advance.

    That's what I thought; thanks.

Has anyone taken advantage of the 12-month window?

Nope. The miles and bonus site has a complete list of partner earning (on mobile so can't link). My recollection is that they have few or no airline partners beyond star alliance carriers.
