I wasn't able to find this information in any of the FAQs, so I thought I'd ask you guys. If I were to start at Platinum, either by possessing a credit card, or by using the code from the MP Premium Membership, would I need to do 5 qualifying stays or 15 eligible nights fewer to hit Diamond? Thanks!

    Subscribed. :)

Platinum is usually 5/15 and Diamond is 15/50, although their Diamond Challenge is usually 12 nights in 60 days if you have status elsewhere. I'm curious if they would do Diamond in 10/35 for MP Premium Members or an even sweeter deal (considering the relatively low requirements for the Challenge).

I'm confused. Hyatt Plat is normally 10 stays or 25 nights and Diamond 25 stays or 50 nights, no? Where did you get 5/15 and 15/50? Are you thinking about a one-time status challenge from Hyatt?

On Hyatt's website, it seems to say that Platinum is 5/15 and Diamond is 25/50. So I was wondering if I had the automatic Platinum, whether I'd still need the full 25/50 for Diamond, or whether I'd need 5/15 fewer, or 20/35 for Diamond.

No, there's no "credit" for having Platinum The stays/nights are absolute requirements.

You get no head start, other than not needing to do any no-status stays.

Yeah that was probably wishful thinking on my end... :) Diamond is 25/50 as per their site.
