Accor (finally) allowing online award reservations

At least they're starting to, according to this facebook posting:

For those not in the know, the current setup is that you need to redeem your points for vouchers and use them to pay for all/part of your reservation. You could have a million points, but you still needed to print out the stupid vouchers and take them to the hotel with you.

At least with this change (once it's available) you should be able to book a reservation and pay for it with points, no vouchers required.

Interestingly enough, they only have that one participating property as of now... I wonder why and how long it's going to take to expand this to the entire chain (assuming that's the plan).

 

Nice move however I just redeem my voucher.
