In an attempt to get AC staff looking in on us let's get a constructive suggestion discussion going.

I would like to see same day change fees for flex pass holders dropped.

    Ok...

    1. TSA Pre printed on OLCI boarding passes
    2. OLCI works when using an e-Up (doesn't required call to call centre)
    3. Pre-pre boarding for J class and SE

I believe items 2 and 3 are being done shortly. Zonal boarding will get us on board first followed by the peons;) The *A gold status line ups will be a thing of the past.

Item 1 is of interest to me as well. There might be some security or privacy issues possibly but I have no idea if that is true.

Million Miler, SE, give me a better chance to upgrade. 2015 plans for upgrade credits makes it impossible for me to want to travel on AC. I have been loyal. Show me something back.

OLCI, please, from 24 hours before departure of first segment, rather than before departure of last segment. On my crazy multi-segment routings from northern Canada to western Europe that would be a good thing.

Can't be that big a deal. Both UA and Delta will print TSA PRE on OLCI including electronic boarding passes.

Then we should push for it as well. I'm sure the programming is not that hard to do.

While we are at it, mobile (electronic) boarding passes for trans-border flights.

AC may not have the power to do that, at least southbound: US CBS will want to stamp something (a hand stamp, anyone?). Do any of the other airlines offer electronic boarding passes for flights requiring US preclearance?

I'm sure they'd be happy to stamp your phone. :D

Given that it's CBS, they probably would like to stamp on my phone!

YYZ has the Nexus line which is a bit like Precheck, at least wrt to the xray and clothing/belts, but not keeping laptop in bag (though about 1/4 the speed!)
AC has already announced that they joined TSA PreCheck, so it would be good for them to work with the various airport authorities to see if it is feasible to implement this. AC since it is a dominant player in the transborder they could request it. There are enough bp checkers in line after clearing DHS that this should not be an insurmountable request. (oh, and if you could move the line at YYZ to the other side, that would be great since it brings me closer to the Plaza Premium lounge! :D

There is a simple thing that would make me so **very** happy, as an inveterate bulkheader, and that would be to hold in reserve the overhead bins over said bulkhead rows. Nothing quite chokes me as discovering that Mr Important, who has preboarded for row 34, has already stashed his bags above my beloved seat 1D.

Underlying that is the general request that the J-cabin bins not be used as the dumping-ground for Y-cabin bags until all of the J-cabin pax have boarded.

(Reading this, I fear that I am coming across as an entitled, nay arrogant, child of privilege. But darn it all, the bulkhead stowage issue is real).

I should amplify, by adding that I am caught between the twin pillars of responsibility (don't carry too much baggage into the cabin!) and pragmatism (if you check a bag, and you're passing through YYZ, there's a fair chance that said bag shall be thereupon transmogrified into some eldritch alternative universe in which it ceases to be your bag!).

I have had FAs on United and AA close the overhead cabinets above the F/J cabinet so that those passing by do not place their bags overhead, and as passengers in the forward cabin looks for space they mention that the bins above are available for their use.

Oh, yes, that's a nicer way to do it. I suppose that the FAs must be checking passes as the pax board, yes?

For me its the puzzled look as I get to the seat and wonder how all the overhead bins could be filled when I am the second or third person on! :)

I'd like to see the Air Canada mobile application pick up ALL reservations that are made by Aeroplan number, not just reservations from aircanada.com

Related to this is ability to upgrade an entire trip (one-way) from x hours or days in advance of the first segment, rather than having to do the upgrades piecemeal.

Why should people connecting have a leg up for upgrades on their connectors?

To get in line ahead of you. :p

Really, it's just a convenience thing, mostly.
