Has one ever happened? Just trying to see if this is something that we can setup! Just looking for feedback at this point!

(Yes, Air Canada involvement is a possibility, but would like to figure out demand).

There was AC involvement in a Star Alliance Megado a couple of years ago. As I recall, it started in YYZ.

Interested to hear what you have in mind for an AC do.

Tell us more about possible AC involvement.
    What level of involvement ?
Corporate? Middle management? Rank and file ?

    Corporate and Executive level.

nothing is cemented at this point. Just grabbing feelers. I originally started planning this for tobb but perhaps have changed my mind for the folks there (if FTers are reading this, I'm KIDDING - relax).

FYI Air Canada has not shown much interest in participating in the site. Some of us have appealed to Ben Smith....and no traction .....

Don't worry about that. I got that covered :) Don't want to tip my hand yet, but yes, don't worry about that!

EDIT: Note, this event, if it happened, would occur at YYZ. (Mississauga to be precise)

    Dear Penguin:

I am impressed at your organisational skills. I would be, for my own self, interested in attending such a party, save that I am far to the west of Ontario and would have a staggeringly-hard time justifying such a long trip.

Vancouver, on the other hand? Might could....

    Take good care,

    /elane

On the other hand, the YVR-YYZ flight will almost certainly be on a wide-body so you'll get a nice pod to travel in. 777 vs E190 (or DH3)

    Just sayin' ;)

Well, YULtide, if I could combine such a journey with my semi-annual excursion to the MIT Library (down in Cambridge, Massachusetts), that might become tempting.

I do suspect, though, that I'm at least three decades older than the shiny young things that Air Canada brass would probably with whom be wanting to clink beer-flutes.

I shall follow the planning discussion with interest, in any case.

    Cheers,

    /Elane

Actually being of the same generation as you and probably older I think AC needs to focus on the retired (or semi) SE's who can can afford to continue flying. Their focus on the business traveller is all well and good but there is a treasure trove of retired loyal AC types to harvest.

Depending on when I may be interested.

ETA: Welcome to InsideFlyer. A fresh face (even if a penguin, and a super angry one at that) is always appreciated.

    Dear ACMM:

If our beloved Milchap has any sense at all, he's standing in a foxhole with overhead cover, rather than just out there in the field getting rained-up (or worse).

Which leads me to change the subject, and wonder just what order of dress is appropriate for a Do? Not Red Sea rig, surely.
