The article below has a list of airlines which can get this fast-lane access at HKG ... AC is one of them. Anyone know anything about this? or if only certain AC Elite tiers qualify?

... much more at the link above ...

Note. Reading the article indicates that you sign up past immigration. So next time you cannot use it i guess Go through, sign up, and future trips should be better.

From how I read the story, it's not like you can get into a fast track lane by waving your elite status card. You'll have to sign up in person and donate your photo, urine sample and finger prints, so the first time is presumably not going to save you a lot of time.

I'll be going through immigration in HKG twice next month, so if I can use the fast lane the scond time it will be worthwhile

Please do let us know how it goes and if it is only good for a specific time period? Safe travels!

    From the article:

"Your Frequent Visitor membership remains valid for as long as your passport does."

I am not visiting Hong Kong very often, but I happen to be there next month. And my passport is brandnew. So it might perhaps be worth it.

It's nice they are extending this privilege to FFers. Though this doesn't change anything for Mrs R and myself as being HK Permanent ID card holders ourselves, we've always had access to use the e-channels.

;) thought so, but the version he/she posted, coupled with the bright pink headings for the MP cancer awareness thing, made a better (or worse) mental image! I love fast track; esp when it has a nice shelf life like 5 years/life of passport.

I agree - and I also just renewed my passport so I should have a Q1 trip via HKG to Bangkok, so may stay a night in HKG to be able to enter for the purposes of getting this for future :) Never hurts :)

Signed up last night. Elite status was good enough, but from the brochure it doesn't seem status is an issue. No urine sample, but they did take a copy of my passport, a photo (not looking my best after 24 hours on the road) and both index finger prints. In about 5 minutes I had a new sticker on the back of my passport. I was told that when I get a new passport I can come in for a new sticker.

Off to HAN today. I will test the new system when I get back to HKG on Friday.
