AAdvantage website error

    Anybody having problems with AA at the time? I've been trying for the better part of an hour and no luck.

    If AA went through the trouble of adding a big banner at the top of the website stating accessing info was unavailable at this time, I'm guessing it's not just you ;):D

    Interesting... that banner wasn't there just now when I tried. :)

    I see it now on their front page, but if you go directly to the AAdvantage / myAccount page (such as if you use a bookmark :) ) then you don't see the banner at all.

    Mostly like the case! I don't bookmark the the login screen. I like being able to see what they post on the main page about sales/promos/etc.

    I rarely go to the AA website directly unless I'm booking, or I want to look at my account to see activity. And when I'm going to look at my account usually the AAdvantage section is in my browser history/bookmarks so I don't even hit the front page. :)

    For sales/promos usually their emails will keep me in the loop, or facebook/twitter (or milepoint :) ) for contests and what-not... but generally I rarely visit aa.com.

    This is probably an issue with all the unilateral canceling of the Cathay Pacific F fares they're doing right now...:rolleyes:

    Considering they did the exact same thing with the QF F fare mistake last year, is anyone really surprised? ;)

    Still, it's nice to dream!

    All my flights have been post wrong lately... I flew on a Q fare but they posted Y!!! And I flew on a I fare and they posted C!!!

    Are you sure...regardless of fare class of my ticket, any economy posts as Y, any business posts as C. Did you also get the class of service bonus?

    I saw this banner the other day and had issues with the booking engine...have not seen it since...

    Hopefully the miles (with bonuses) for the I fare wre more than those for the Q fare. ;)

    So are you actually saying that previously your miles have posted showing the fare class flown?:confused:

    Yes, but from some time ago, they post as Y, C, and F only!!! For C I never got the class bonus. Only for F!!!

    Site has had numerous problems the last couple days. I'd like to check my mileage balance but that feature has had some major issues. Hopefully today...

    Didn't you guys know, AA has hired a crack IT team that was recently let go by Aeroflot. :) Give them some time to adjust and these problems will disappear.
