Anyone know how long the limited time offer is supposed to last?
What's the offer?
Till they get enough of the cards out for the holiday season...,
Citi cards a great for a churn, and 50k is a great offer...
Who would want to do 50k BIS...
I'm assuming he means this:
That sound Illegal to me why would they give you a free flight.
This could not be right, and you have to pay $89.00,
I bet the banks do not pay taxes on the $89.00,
I think I'm going to pass,
This is the one I was referencing. It's right on the AA home page. Only asking because I had just canceled this card recently and they made no attempt to make a retention offer. If I apply too soon, afraid I won't be eligible for the bonus.
Go ahead and apply, worse they can say is NO.
Once I canceled a Citi AA a few days later they sent me an app, filled it out, and soon had a new AA Card,
Many a households have 5 AA EX Cards, Citi is pretty free with the cards..
Give it a shot...I would, and to tell you the truth, they have never said no to me...
So Citi doesn't mind giving me a second card if I already have the card in question (and have had it for 18+ months)?
18+ months is mandatory. Just tried and shot down because less than 18 months, so back to my original question, how long is limited time offer? Curious to see if I will be able to jump on this offer.
If they turned you down, call the recon line, to see what the problem is.
Too many have applied and received multipal cards from Citi
The last AA Ex card was abused by many, far more than twice, in less than 30 days.
We had 5 delivered during the offer,
The call to the line was actually prompted on rejection. Screen gave a number and a code. Rep asked for code and put me on hold for 2-3 minutes. Came back and said she was sorry, but there are new rules in place that AA is insisting on. Anyone who has a card open within 18 months is now ineligible. So based on my AA Exec card, I'm sure this current 50K offer will be long expired. I can confirm it is because of the Exec because the Plat Select I canceled was first applied for 24+ months ago.
The times they are a changing I guess.
I just applied for and was approved for the Platinum Select card. 50K points and 2 lounge passes if I spend 3K in 3 months.
Sorry to hear the new rule, I would apply for the Amex AA Card, or have my wife apply for the PS Card under her name, if I had a problem.
There is always a card out there it seems.
Do not forget the BA card miles can be converted to AA.
This game is never ending, it seems.
